I'm not sure if the stealth skill is available from the start, but gutter runners and Eshin Triads have the skill to make them invisible. I mean, place them behind your clanrats and see where a strong unit attacks and then you charge the Eshin Triads into this strong unit to support your clanrats. The Eshin Triads are good against big enemies, but if the enemy has no big units, then use them as a support unit. They can also shoot while running, which makes them good against even melee units that would normaly be stronger then the gutterrunners.
If you get a chance use them to flank the enemy, they are pretty useful both in melee and range.
